Intiation Day 2005

What a sunny day yesterday. I was at Sentosa with the RMIT Student Council people as it was our Initiation Day (the day we become councilors of RMIT). I belong to the Events/Planning dept. Sadly, Jooe and the others I knew were in Editorial. I had wanted Editorial at first but because thought most of my friends like Jooe, Doris they all chose Events as first choice, I follow likewise. I'm okie with anything actually.

Well, I reached Dolphin Lagoon with Yunwei and Jooe at about 12.30pm but the Councilors were late. Everyone of us were there waiting for the councilors. We walked over to Tanjong Beach which was a 10 mins walk from Dolphin Lagoon/Palawan Beach. There were lots of dogs at that beach cause that was the only beach which cars can drive in all the way to. The first game we play was "Wacko". The thing that is supposed to whack people with is wrapped with layers of newspapers and smeared with tomato sauce on it. So you are definately gonna get dirty. We shouted our names then the person in the centre with the Wacko is supposed to try to whack the person whois name is shouted then if that person did not shout out another person's name, Wacko!!! Guess u all know tis game eh? Next game also involves shouting out names, except the weapon are tomatoes. I was thrashed. U're supposed to catch the flying tomatoes. My clothes was smeared with the tomato seeds and juice. Next are eggs. Fortunately eggs thrown to me were missed and landed on the sand still intact. Once the eggs hit onto any part of your body, the eggs were splattered. Dirty game this is. We cleared ourselves by throwing waterbombs for fun.

Next game is we're supposed to form into our groups (everytime the groups are different) and one person is supposed to be carried or piggy-back over to the side where the apple is and that person is not supoosed to touch the ground and gotta eat the apple. The fastest group to finish the apple wins. Loser group gotta forfeit. My group cheated in the game, if not, we may be the ones to get the forfeit. Haha...Then the forfeit is to paint on the backs. So the letters L-o-s-e-r-! was painted on each back. Then the next game was to roll on the sand like "Muah Chees" but I skipped that game cause I'm afraid the sand might not do good for my skin. The next game we're are supposed to blow out the flour off the bowl as much as possible then use our mouth to pick up the sweets in the bowl filled with flour. Our group lost cause our sweets were hidden deep inside the bowl of flour. So the forfeit was to build a human pyramid in the sea. I went into the sea. But they told me I was excused though since I was wet already I didn't mind doing the forfeit together actually.

Then the next game was to pass the cup of seawater using only our mouths then the last person is supposed to pour the cup of water into a bottle. The group that fills the 2 bottles first wins. My group lost. So the forfeit was to do a dirty group dance with Eew...Ah... damn stupid come to think of it. But I gotta be sporty. There's this Grand Finale where we're supposed to act out a skit where how we gals pick up guys. My group went first. I acted as the one who had to try the last time (after my two other female friends failed to befriend the guy) approaching this guy by the beach to apply suntanning lotion for me. While applying, his boyfriend appeared. They appeared to be gay partners. Quite funny though. But this is the first time I acted with not feeling nervous. Perhaps is cause, this was more casual and I did not look at the audience and stuffs. But my group still lost. All three groups gotta get the forfeit. We were supposed to choose to dance either retro, bollywood or kinki dance. We could not choose Bollywood cause it was already taken so we did the retro dancing.

After everything's over, the dept was announced before snacks time. That was already about 5+. My name was first called. Then they decided to call for a game of Captain's Ball. So I joined the game. I'm not good at ball games, can say not good at sports at all. So I just had fun. Then we went to change and packed up at around 6+. I got to know the other gals as we left the beach together and took photos together. They'll be my Events/Planning pals so might as well know them first. We left Tanjong Beach at around 7+. The seniors and a few freshies went for dinner then chill out together afterwards. I did not join them cause I was too dirty and tired and my mum's already bought my dinner.

I had sunburnt now. My face and neck areas are red and sore. I did not dare apply suntan or sunblock lotion cause fear for allergy again. Then just now just hurt my middle right finger. My finger went thru the door when I was trying to shut it. Will upload the pictures once I got them. That'd be all for now before I bore u all guys....
