A interview not for work
Wah...like a long time haven't been blogging liao. Cause like nothing interesting happened. Just that yesterday, my two Uni pals, Adeline and Jooe brought their digi camera to school so we took quite a lot of shots together, cheeky shots too. Waiting for them to upload then I'll post up here. It's been a long week, time really find hard to pass when in school compared to at work. The difference with poly and Uni is the lectures here are longer hours but only a lesson or two per day and that's it...Today went for the Student's Council interview. They finally called me yesterday night at 11+ but I did not heard it. So sms the VP back this morning and they ask me to go for interview. They seemed to be quite impressed with my knowledge of their duties. Of course, if I'm really interested, I will pay attention to what our seniors are telling us what the Council is about right? Hopefully I really got thru the interview. If really got thru, there'll be a 6 mths probation period. I'll want to be in the Events/Planning dept where they'll be organising/planning events like bashes, orientation for freshmen, Sports Day, etc. Most of my friends are interested in this dept too. The other two are Editorial where we'll do a magazine issued twice in a year and the other's Student Services where students can look for them regarding issuing of lockers, welcoming freshmen, etc. This is the time where I can really participate activities in school life especially Uni and enjoy my days as an undergrad. Here's the photos we Chorale took from Xmas Eve after the Candlelight Service... And all ladies shot...

First day of being an Undergrad
Guess many of you would be curious to know how's my first day of sch in Uni eh? Well, so far so good. Just learnt that I may be exempted from one module which if successful can get a refund of $1000 back. I took Engineering Maths 1, 2 & 3 in Poly so may be exempted for Business Statistics I. Got seniors tried that and got exempted too. So hopefully I'll get the exemption cause Biz Stats really tough. Anyway, I got to know a few more friends today thru my other friends introduction. I gotta know Grace, Adeline and Sok Wan today thru Jooe. They were from another orientation group Squall. The nine of us had lunch together today and we exchanged contacts.I'm already so familiar with SIM already just that the environment seems all new for me. And for sure, Uni life seems very different from Poly life. The lectures all start on time, no time for slacking cause first day straightaway start first lesson liao. The afternoon lesson was better. The lecturer was quite nice and fun to be in her lecture. Today first day first lecture starts at 9am. I left house at about 8.10am. The end of the shophouses was blocked for construction so I had to make a detour to the bus stop. I missed the first bus at 8.15am by a few seconds. If I had known that was my bus I was supposed to be in, I would have run and catch it. So normally the waiting time latest is about 20 mins. I waited for half an hour today. Never waited for a stupid bus that long. Almost wanted to hitch a cab. So I was the only one who went the latest for lecture. What's more the lecturer was an RMIT lecturer who flew from Melbourne. All because of that stupid bus 154...Yeah...lucky tomorrow no school so can sleep later think now got heachache. I gotta go to OCBC to terminate my debit MOI card then gotta hand in my application form to MJ then head down to polyclinic to get the doc to prescribe a medicine. That time NYE went to polyclinic entrance liao then saw it was closed. Shucks! So gotta go tomorrow again. Then Wed getting textbooks from Yiwei's fren from RMIT and before that must go down to Ngee Ann to get my course guides...Dunno how much must I pay for them liao...Labels: Rantings, RMIT

New Year's Eve
Came home at about 3am this morning. Still feeling quite sleepy now and down with cold. Went to watch Kungfu Hustle with Yiwei yesterday. Before that, we had dinner at Sushi Tei-Paragon. Then after the show, it was about 11.30pm. We sat down at Coffee Club beside Califonia Fitness building and drank coffee and chit-chat. Along the way, of course kena sprayed. Damn angry at first. It was those Banglads who is spraying at girls. Walk everywhere kena aimed by them. Then we just know it's New Year when the people on Orchard Road were screaming and you could hear the horning of cars. We had wanted to go KBox at first, but expected that the rooms would all be occupied. So in the end, we went to this pool centre to hide from the attacks in Meridien cause Yiwei know the boss there. Actually not really to hide but we really got no place to go. Everywhere's packed with people. We called Josiah hoping we could meet up with him and Luther but he was at his house by then. So I called Rach but guess she is busy enjoying herself in pubs, she did not pick up the phone. Guess this year's NYE is one year I stayed out latest for once.Today went to Orchard shopping with my mum. We were supposed to ahve lunch together with my dad but could not find available parking lots so my mum and I went ahead instead. I treat my mum to Cafe Cartel at Cineleisure. Spent about $31 after 10% discount for UOB card members. Then we went to Robinson's first stop for shopping first. There was so many people in Robinson's due to the sale there. So we went to Mango sale in Centrepoint. There was also a huge crowd in there. I bought two tops. A halter neck orange top (can wear for clubbing next time liao, Rach) and a 3/4 sleeve off-shoulder top. Spent $32 in this shop alone. My mum bought a long sleeve striped top from Mango too. Liked a top that I saw the mannequin was wearing but searched high and low but can't find. Was supposed to buy my Charles and Keith flip-flop and find skirt actually. In the end, bought two tops. Then we walked on to Metro, and there I started sneezing a lot. Non-stop till now. Guess I caught a cold liao. This morning I bathed when the weather was very cold (heavy downpour) then came out of bathroom felt very cold. Even when I went to Orchard I was still wearing a jacket.. BUt at Metro was a little stuffy and hot liao. Maybe the change of environgment causes my sensitive nose too. So I drank the Panadol cold remedy, felt better. Tomorrow morning must drink another time. But managed to bought my Charles and Keith flip-flop. Wanted a green with brown base one. BUt there was no size for my feet so I took the black one instead though the white was also nice-$19.90. The sales guy that attended to me even ask me if I went to see a doctor. I think I scared the people there with my sneezing. Sigh...Hopefully, tomorrow my cold's getting better so I'll be able to go to church. Maybe it's also due to lack of sleep. Well, Monday's gonna start school liao. A little excited cum sian. Dunno how to describe lah...Anyway, gotta sleep earlier tonight.Labels: Rantings, shopping, Sick
