Working in Pico
It has been exactly 1 year working in Pico. Time really flies and I can't believe I actually been working for a year already and have been in Pico for a year now. Many things in the coming year that I'll be looking forward to. 1) End of the year will be getting my 13 month bonus. How I wish I can get it by this month then at least I can use the money for my Perth trip at ease. 2) I will look forward to my net profit sharing in May next year. I am waiting to do my appraisal with my boss so I can see if I can get any increment. 3) The Annual Dinner & Dance cause I'm in the Committee. I'll have to go shopping and buy the gifts for the prizes. I have a food tasting tomorrow at Intercontinental hotels so there'll be shark's fins and prawns and seafood for dinner. End of this month is Pico's financial year end and I'll be kept busy rushing for things in the mid week and at the same time shifting over to the new area. Finally!!! Have been working in a non-airconditioned temporary work area. So I'll be getting new tables, chairs, cupboards. But I hate to pack and move. Especially thinking if I'll have spaces to put all my files and team stationaries. A real headache and when people are rushing you to submit their invoices and all due to the year end closing....Can feel stress coming soon... Labels: Life, Work

Rantings...
I did something brave for myself yesterday in church. I did not expect myself to be making an announcement in front of everyone in church. I was the organiser of the Sunday School Excursion to Sentosa so I had to stand in front of the congregation during Announcement time and made known to all about the event. And because no other teachers of IC was brave enough to do it. I had wanted Jo to do it initially but in the end, I thought since this is my work, I will have to do it myself. I asked God to help me but though everyone thought I did not sounded nervous, I was in fact nervous till I forgot to introduce myself in front of them first. Holding a mic and standing in front of everyone is really a big time obstacle for me-stage fright though I sing in chorale regularly. That is in a group and sometimes I get nervous there too. After that, my family and I went to Vivocity after dropping by my sis's and my brother-in-law home in Telok Blangah. I only went to their house once before the renovations was done and this was after. It hasn't fully been equiped with many furniture yet. They will be getting in everything by this coming Sunday. Simple layout but I trust their tastes and it was indeed nice. I had ongoing migraines now and then thinking it must be the lack of sleep previous night or due to my wisdom tooth. I was watching a DVD on my PC before LOST was aired. I was okay until suddenly dizzy spells suddenly attacked me. It was the worst one ever. It was like I was going to black out anytime if I did not close my eyes immediately. Good thing, my mum happened to pass by my room so I called out to her to bring my giddy medicine the doctor has prescribed to me before. And I laid down on my bed to rest a while. I did not felt better a lot but I continued to watch LOST and almost fell asleep. Think either it was really the medicine had some drowsiness effect or it was my dizzy spells. After the show, I immediately switched off my PC and went to bed. In the morning, I felt better. And my mum gave me the cherry essence she gotten free from buying chicken essence and I tried it. It was sweet and nice to gulp down. Thought it'd be good for me, I drank it and my mum is getting more of it. This kind of attack has not been the first time now. I just hope I do not have to take the remaining two giddy pills left otherwise I may have to consult the doctor again and this time perhaps they'll refer me to the hospital or polyclinic to scan or check up. Is this part of a migraine? I dunno. I always thought migraine is headache on one part of the brain. Did not know giddiness could be due to it...I just don't hope for the worst for my condition.... The Nanny Diaries
Synopsis: “The Nanny Diaries” tells the story of the emotional and often humorous journey of Annie Braddock (Johansson), a young woman from a working-class neighborhood in New Jersey, struggling to understand her place in the world. Fresh out of college, she gets tremendous pressure from her nurse mother to find a respectable position in the business world although Annie would prefer to trade in her blackberry for an anthropologist's field diary. Through a serendipitous meeting, Annie ends up in the elite and ritualistic culture of Manhattan's Upper East Side -- as remote from Annie's suburban New Jersey upbringing as life in an Amazon tribal village. Choosing to duck out of real life, Annie accepts the position as a nanny for a wealthy family, referred to as simply "the X's." She quickly learns that life is not very rosy on the other side of the tax bracket, as she must cater to the every whim of Mrs. X (Linney) and her precocious son Grayer, while attempting to avoid the formidable Mr. X (Giamatti). Life becomes even more complicated when Annie falls for a gorgeous neighbor of the X’s (Evans) who she nicknames Harvard Hottie, and is forced to explore what she wants to do with her life.Reviews:A typical American family story showing how the baby sitter and the child can become good friends. I must say Scarlett definitely do not suit brunette colour. She looks better in blonde. As for Chris Evans, he always looks hot. Although he did not have enough cameo appearance in this movie. The clothes he wear in the movie looks good on his great body too. I did not even notice him from F4 Part 1. I then realise he was the guy who acted in The Cellular. Overall, I would say you have hot babe and hunk to look for in this show so why not watch it. Ratings:
