Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays...

On Friday, I went to Serene's (uni fren) chalet at East Coast to celebrate her birthday with my uni pals. After class, we headed to Orchard to get Serene's bday present. A $100 Isetan shopping voucher. while the remaining $40 we spent it to buy drinks and some tidbits. I was supposed to go home and have dinner and bring my camera down but in the end, they all decided not to stay over and instead head straight to East Coast after accounting lesson. Before getting the present, we sat at Shaw House Mac and ate some fries and drinks. Then we took bus 16 down to East Coast. The journey was pretty long. We had to take a long walk over to east coast Mac from the bus stop we alighted. Then we got some drinks and tidbits from 7-eleven and then took an even longer walk down to Costa Sands chalet. My blister was still a little hurting at that time. So by the time we walk about half, my legs were tired. We were all tired, hungry and lamenting about the long journey. But it was qutie fun chatting and joking away. When reached the chalet, it was already after 9pm. We had late dinner like fried bee hoon and then Shane BBQ some food for us but in the end, I end up did not touching ay of them. So we stayed and chatted till about 11pm thn we stated cutting cake. We left ECP at about 12 midnight. I shared cab with Leon, Zihao and Huimin. I slept at around 2.30am in the end.

On Sat, I went to my grandma house as usual for lunch. Then I left at 5pm to meet Mingli along the way to Harbourfront at Sembawang MRT. I was supposed to attend my poly classmate, Serene's 21st bday. We were supposed to meet Chee Sia at 6.30pm and the party's starting at 7pm. So when we reached there. We were one of the earliest. Then after everyone was there, Luwei was late so we ended up waiting for her. So while we were paying for the bus tickets, we took a picture of the group. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

When we finally reached Stewords Riverboat, Serene booked the upper deck all for her 21st birthday. We were supposed to sign our names at the entrance. Serene was dressed up in blue. Her hair was nicely do up and make-up by professional. She has got her sister's fren as an official photographer there. Her church frens as a videographer and emcees. As Serene is a family of Christians, there were opening of Christian hymns and prayer from her church pastor. Then the party starts with some sing-alongs and prayer then the feast begins. Just to let u all know. It's a western buffet but the food is not that fascinating after all...After we've taken our fill. We went to the back boat as the restrooms are there. Then we took some photos there whilst chatting away and admiring the view and cool breeze.

Then the cake-cutting ceremony and photo-taking session started. And here's the big group of poly friends. There are supposed to be more but a lot can't make it. Look at the huge cake. The one beside Serene is her bf also knew from poly. She had to present a testimonial of her whole 21 years before this. And her family members were presented. Really well-planned party afterall...

After the cake-cutting ceremony and photo-taking session, I got Luwei and Xiaojuan to take photos together with me...Too bad we got one member less...Patty Koh couldn't make it last minute...

Long time never took with the four of us together ever since Year 1 of poly...short of Patty again as usual....

The whole party ended with us writing our thoughts of Serene and supposed to put into the box for her to remember this day. Then Mingli and I left at slightly after 10pm. I reached room at around 11+...Quite an experience attending my first birthday official party at this place. The whole reservation of the place and upper deck cost her 2000 over dollars...
