A rough day...

It was a very bad and rough day for me yesterday. Had to go down to another customer's company at Raffles Place every Wednesday and yesterday was my first day there. I had to do a different job as usual and Cassandra had to stay there for the whole morning to guide me along. I was to call up a 45 list of customers from the company FileNet which was supposed to be Wenhao's customer not mine, but somehow Cassandra chose me for the job. I was given a office with telephone and a laptop. It has a great view outside, Standard Chartered Bldg facing the view of Boat Quay on the 21st floor. I was givena script and was told to call up customers to verify their email addresses and explain to them our ourpose of calling. I made lots of mistakes partly cause it was still beginning of calling up customers, still in the warming up stage and Cassandra finds that I am not confident enough as I was stuttering and stammering and I was not polite enough. She keeps telling me that I must use "May I have your contact number, may I know who is the new person replacing him/her?" I keep making the same mistake again and again till she warned me that if I keep making this same mistake, she'll have to put me off this case and replace Wenhao for it. At that time, I was thinking, "Fine, how I wish she realli could put me off this case. I wanna get back to my own work." BUt finally, I got it right. Well, of course I was nervous, would u be nervous if ur boss was sitting right in front of u and hearing every conversation u made with the customer and pin-pointing your every mistakes u made. Of course, u'll stutter. Besides, I was having phlegm in my throat and running nose, I was not in my tip-top condition. This is not the end of my rough day....

I was assigned a virtual email add to email to FileNet's boss, Vera (who hired Pulley Ascent to send a staff over to assist them) who is in charge of me too, after I finish making all the calls in the list. I will email the remarks of the outcome back to Cassandra before emailing to Vera. Cassandra did mentioned that any emails received must be forwarded to herself first to screen before she feels that it can be sent over to Vera. But I stupidly forwarded a customer's email over to Vera without even writing anything in the email. Then Vera replied back with a copy to Cassandra too saying that is this for her to follow up or FYI. I replied to them it's for her to follow up. I did not managed to call up 18 customers in the end, either there was no answer and I could not find the main line number even on the website or they are away and do not know their email addresses at all. When I emailed the outcome to Cassandra and waited for her to do some amendments and send back to me for Vera, Cassandra called me and scolded me that I made two mistakes, she said realli harsh words lor....She said first mistake is that I shouldn't have forwarded the email to Vera at all. She did gave me instructions that I'm supposed to let Cassandra screen all emails first before sending anything to Vera. She feels that Vera is our boss after all, who hired us and they're our customer. Second mistake is that, how could I send a email without even writing anything in it. How do I expect anyone to know if it is to follow up or for your info only....She made me go to her and apologise to her personally saying that that I had made a mistake in the email, that email was meant to be for Cassandra and not for her. Then she also made me send an apology email again to her and forward that original email to her explaining the mistake. She said things like, "I never hired anyone so far that made this kind of stupid mistake. U're the worst person I've met so far. U know what this is called, this is called kay kiang (act smart)." Well, in the first place, I dun understand why is she making so big fuss over an email. Vera was quite okie with it, she even told me not to think about it, dun worry, she was quite friendly, but it is Cassandra who is just afraid of offending Vera, she thought Vera is that petty over an email? Who asked her to make a wrong decision in putting me to this case? Well, I admit the second mistake is my fault. I agreed to come back on Friday again to finish calling p the remaining customers. JUst hoping Cassandra won't turn up for this week. I dun want to see her face this week.

She even asked me if I am interested to attend a meeting with FileNet today from 4-6pm. Just after she scolded me, No way am I going to see her face this week...She sms me just now to confirm if I'm attending. I told her I'm sick today. It's the truth I'm realli sick. Down with flu and itchy throat. I could not sleep well last night though I was realli tired and sleepy. My throat felt itchy and irritating. I even felt like vomiting cause the saliva was hard to swallow. Went to meet my ex-colleagues in Kestronics today for lunch. We went to Rajah Inn at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Missed the steamboat there. Then I treated my ex-bosses, Rex and JOnathan for coffee sicne they treated me so many times in the past. They only chose to drink Ya Kun Coffee. Too bad they dun like Coffee Bean....Saturday goin to meet Weiyi and his gf for lunch together with Rach, Jo and Kai. Weiyi's back from America and he did not even tell us...What a friend...But I dun think I can eat too much heaty food for now. Dun think I have much choices at Raffles City that I can eat...Here's a photo Rachel took with her new digi camera on Sunday...
