I did not feel sleepy during sermon today. Cause today what the pastor is preaching today makes me reflect and find his sermon very interesting today. The Sermon title was What's In A Day? And thinking of the recent events and disasters happening recently, makes him come out with today's sermon. Let me have a different style of blogging just for today. Makes me wanna share with everyone. He said that God is powerful in many ways, he can punish those whom go against him. God is able to control everything - heaven and earth, mountains and below sea too. The pastor even used a Hokkien term of "Bao Sua Bao Hai" which means mountains covered seas are also covered by him as in control. With the recent news heard throughout these whole year till now, he just thought of 4T's that will cover the sermon today. The 1st T is Tsunami which happened on 26th Dec. I even provided a picture taken by someone who saw the tsunami coming in my blog. Which killed almost 300,000 people in the many areas affected that time. The damage was severe too. The 2nd T - Tremors which means Earthquakes that happened this year with a Richter scale of 9.0 in Sumatra few months back. And the most recent earthquake that happened yesterday morning in Northern Pakistan very near India with 1,000 dead showing a Richter scale of 7.6...The 3rd T will come to Typhoons which also meant the recent hurricanes, Katrina that hit USA badly. Typhoons in HK and Taiwan were also reported around the same time too. How lucky Singapore for being such a small country free from disasters and all....The last T will bring to man-made disasters, Terror (terrorism) since the Sept 11 bombing of World Trade Centre in USA and the Middle-east war that time has brought to unrest peace. The recent suicide bombing of the Bali on 1 Oct and before was the Jakarta bombing. God punishes anyone thus Jesus Christ died for our sins to free us from sins, from the punishment God has bestowed on Earth, to those who turns away from God or go against him. However, God promises a lovely world - a new world where there is no more hunger but plentiful feast. This is where eternal life will be. The pastor lastly mentioned this question to everyone, how do we live in this world as we await for the new world? How do we live in this world where there is disasters and terror going on as we await for the day we live together with God...
