Shagged but fun

I just came back from Orientation Camp this morning at 8am. Have been playing games from 10+ Tuesday night till this Wed morning 6.30am non-stop. It is Part 2 of the Orientation Camp where we play station games like Amazing Race in Sentosa. Earlier in the day, I went to school at 10am to attend the meeting and preparation for the Orientation Day. I had to pay for the Council tee again cause I was told not to bring cause we OGLs will not be wearing them at all. In the end, they want us to wear in the day and then change into the pink designed t-shirts at night. So now I have two tees at home. This year our Orientation theme's Schizophrenia. I have been changing different partners again. And in the end, my partner did not turn up. And my OG was not filled up at all. Think out of 299 people that we called, only 100 over turned up. So the rest of the OGLs with no freshies in their groups at all had to join other OGs. I went over to join Y1 which is where Clarence and Lina were the OGLs cause they were the nearest to my group and I did spoke to the freshies of that group a while too. So we started the ice-breaking game and touring at 4pm. We had 13 in our group. And only 4 agreed to go to Sentosa, no matter how hard we tried to persuade the others but to no avail. All said they had to work the next day. But one girl back out from her word and left without a word. There was buffet dinner at 5.30pm too. My contact lens were giving me problems that time already so my eyes ere little red.

We assembled at the Atrium to wait for the arrival of the bus. The rest of us left our bags and belongings in Clarence's car while he's driving into Sentosa himself. When we reached Sentosa, it was almost 8+. And we took the internal Sentosa bus to Carpark C3 which is also our starting point cum HQ. We settled down and had our supper there. Supper was packet of vegetable rice (cai fan). After supper, all the groups went to discuss our cheer for the finale round. One of the freshies gave a Hokkien cheer. Then Clarence also added on another Hokkien cheer. Before the game commenced, the ex-co wanted a preview of our cheers. So we were the sixth group to go as we were G6. Yong De, Wei Jie, Serene, Janet, Weili, Boon, Leong and Melvin were the members of my group together with Clarence, Lina and me as their OGLs. The games are played in such a way that whoever completes a station successfully gets the points deducted wins. We'll given 200 points starting off and whoever gets the least points wins the competition. The first clue was given to the groups and the game officially started at about 10.30pm if I'm not wrong. Our first clue was Bounce... Bounce... Bounce and our map was given with marked spots where the stations will be. We had guessed it must be basketball game and there is a basketballl court at Siloso Beach. So we walked down from the HQ to Siloso Beach. It was like a 10 mins walk. The beach did not have any lamp-post so all we can find out if the stations are there will be seeing luminous sticks around.

Upon arrival, there was another group who was there too, G1. So we have to play Dodge Ball against them. My group had to start off by dodging the ball first then we'll swop over. There are 4 rounds. The shortest time of the total 4 rounds that finishes first wins. My team won by shortest time. We can get to punish the other team by choosing either blue or red. I chose red so the punishment was to clip the pegs onto the other team's face, body and clip for 30 secs before they are being pulled off. Our next clue was given and the clue was The Headquarters (HQ) which I immediately knew it was the Carpark C3 they were talking about. We ran all the way from Siloso Beach back to HQ. We stopped by the toilet before the HQ first. Then I suggested the freshies all leave their bags and belongings in the car boot of Clarence's and Wei Jie's since they both drove there. And we saw Kenny, Steph, Robin at the 1st level of HQ, we had thought the station was there but it was a spot on. They were tge game marshalls where if groups are spotted by them, we must do a bonus game where we can get merit points. Our task was to count in multiples of 7 and incuding 7 must not be said but clapped out instead. We are to count to 100. We helped one another and managed to get to 100 after like our 5th try. Every mistake we make, we must go back to zero again. We moved on to basement carpark where the station was there.

The game needed only 10 people to play so I volunteered to step out. The game is like Twister. There were paper plates with numbers on the ground numbers from 1-40 and the numbers will be called upon in any sequence. We were made to sing a song in that position. Once completed, there is a higher level stage where one person is to touch on one number continuously. Once completed, we were made to sing The National Anthem again. At that time, another group was already there waiting. Our next clue was given, the clue was What is the birth-stone for the person born in the month of May? And we had thought it was Sapphire as Janet had saw us passed by Sapphire Pavilion earlier where the Dodge Ball was held. but I also remember seeing Emerald Pavillion but nobody was around. So we headed down to Siloso Beach again where the pavilion was there. The game was explained to us and just when the game was going to be started, the game master said they had made a mistake somewhere and we are not supposed to be here now. The game was supposed to group in pairs and then two sponges will be on the pair's front body and then the OGL have a certain distance we cannot exceed to fill the sponge with water till the two buckets are empty. They are not supposed to remove the sponge and pass it to us to fill the sponge with water too. Due to the mistake, they gave us the clue to the next station, Who is the aquatic king of the forest? We checked the map and figured out to be Merlion so we walked back to HQ to head down to Merlion. This is a very long way and the furthest. We met Davin aong the way and he said it was his mistake for screwing up with the clues so he helped us in giving us the way to the Merlion is through the Musical Fountain way as the shortest way is under construction. So we walked down this long straight road and saw this side stairway leading to somewhere. We were quite near to Sky Tower. We have only one torch so that person, Clarence always had to walk in front to show us the light. Indeed, the path leads to The Merlion from Butterfly Park and Images of Singapore. We saw the Cable Car Tower and we had to walked down about 5-6 escalators down to reach The Merlion entrance.

This station has three diff games. The first game was done at the end of the fountain in front of the entrance of Merlion. We were supposed to stack our feet on top of each other to reach 60cm tall. The floor was wet of course but w had thought we managed to reach 60cm but we were short of 2cm. The game master gave us 1-4 to choose of the forfeit and someone chose 4. We were to put toothpaste on our nose and pass on to the next person by nose too. Then our next station was to cross the line given (something like those red laser lines) and there are a limited times we can cross for certain line. We must get three sweets which was hanging at the highest point of the line. The girls will be carried over to the other side. Melvin is rather small size and light too so he was the first to be carried over. I was carried over from the top to eat the sweet and first time I was being carried by guys and when I was being carried over to the other side, Weijie carried me all by himself. He is damn fit lor. He can carry Serene, Lina and me over all by himself. Then the last stage of that station is to use 8 ruffle strings to carry the soccer ball over crossing the obstacles. Each person cannot carry the same string on both hands. The obstacles were to a certain level so if we crawl under all the way, we can get bonus points. If our head or any part touches the obstacle, we'll get surprises, water bombs or toothpaste. We went separately in two groups and we managed to complete the task. The next clue given to us was What is the birth-stone for people who was born in May? This was the same clue we went to earlier. It was a long walk back to Siloso Beach. We went to Sapphire Pavilion but they said the answer is not sapphire so I guessed it's emerald then. We headed down to Emerald Pavilion. And the OGLs need not play this time round so we took a seat. We ran quite a few times to the stations and by that time it was already 3am and we were damn tired from walking and running and I was running with my slippers. Wei Li could even walk barefooted from the start till the end. At the Emerald Pavillion station, the freshies played and I saw them have to turn and make themselves dizzy going around a pole and then run to the other point. The forfeit was to choose a biscuit to eat and someone ate it filled with mustard. Our next clue was given these years have something in common, 2000, 1988, 1976, 1964. We figured it's 12 years so we take number 12 marked on the map to be Dragon Trail and Nature's Walk.

We found the route to the Dragon Trail and it is pitch darkness with one torch. We walked halfway up the trail and then we decided to turn back going to another route back since we could not even find any trail of luminuous light there. While deciding which way to go, Mount Imbiah or War Battle Memorial, Yunwei called me to ask where we were. Then we turned back and saw another entrance which says 1.3km within 20 mins walk. At the end of the trail will find Underwater World so we thought we'll try our luck going to Underwater World instead. When reached there, we took a rest and we met another group so we asked them where the station at Dragon Trail is and they said it's Subway there where the Cable Car is. So we found our way there and had to walk that long road down again. At Dragon Trail, we are supposed to go into the trail till we reach the pavilion and along the way, we are suppsoed to find as many ping pong balls as possible. We walked inside twice cause we could not find the bonus ball at the pavillion. They gave us another bonus task where one girl is to peel an apple in front of the mirror and since none of the girls said a word, I offered and with the company of two girls, Janet and Serene. I told Lina to stay since she was so scared of the dark. And I was supposed to look into the mirror as they said there is some image of a face in the mirror from the top reflection. I was wearing one side of my lens so I really couldn't see anything. I peeled half of the apple and I could get to eat the apple and get extra 50 merit points. Our next clue was What is the birth-stone of the people born in September? We guessed this time it must be Sapphire then. We had to walk back that long road and that time it was already 5+ to 6am so we saw nobody there and someone called us to tell us to go back to HQ as the others are all back there. The game have to end due to delay in time for too long. Most were at their 5th to 6th station only so it's possible to finish all 9 stations. We were supposed to end at 5am latest but it delayed till so long now.

My team was dead beat and while Adrian was announcing top 3 winners, I din expect much of my team would win top 3 or anything but when they announced G6 to be 1st, all of us were too tired to cheer or anything so since Clarence was the only one standing up, we got him to receive the prize. There was a $100 voucher (10 of $10 pieces) so I gave last two pieces of vouchers to Lina and Clarence to reward and encourage him for becoming an OGL. I reached home at about 8am and took a nice bath when reached home and slept from 9am till 1+ and felt sleepy again at 2+ so I slept till 4+ again. In total I slept at max 6 hours.
