I received a belated bday gift from my church friends, Rach, Kai and Jo. They gave me a bouquet of roses (7 roses-4 red and 3 yellow). I was surprised cause I did not expect they would buy me anything this year. But in the end, Rach read my blog from before and said they knew I did not receive any flowers before so they would be the first to buy me flowers. I was so elated and happy that I have such bosom friends like them since young. I knew them since Sunday School Kindergarten 2...Thanks Rach, Kai and Jo! I love you all! I gave them a hug each that day. They gave me before I went up for the service. They were waiting for me. When the service ended, everyone saw me holding the flowers, they had though whoever receives flowers must be their bday so a few of them wished me Happy Birthday though it is already belated.







My very first event planned after being in Student Council's Events Dept for over 3 sems-Movie Vision. I was supposed to plan with Yiyao who is the main IC but the Movie Vision was my idea and Yiyao practically had no time besides school work. I become the main IC. I put in my heart and soul. It is my first time doing such things so seriously in something. So I really hope this event would be a success. I had booked Orchard Cathay theatre for 76 people just on Monday. Before that I was already emailing the marketing exec for details and info. The booth duty was supposed to start yesterday but the booth duty hasn't been approved by Student Care Services so we just gave out flyers outside the canteen (where the booths are normally set up at). The Edits are supposed to do the flyers and posters. But they did not have the time to finish the flyers before the booth start so I did it myself on Sat. My sister saw my design of the flyers, she could not stand the design. Cause she used to be a freelance designer herself and her bf has his own design company himself, she offered to help me design since she can do it rather fast. So she went to the website and got the poster of the movie V For Vendetta which was the movie I selected and in less than half an hour she finished the flyer design. She used to help design brochures and flyers for clubs and special events so this was easy for her...Impressive eh? I offered to sell her two tickets at $7 then. I was not supposed to sell to outsiders but she was so nice enough to help me do the flyers then I shall sell her two tickets...

I hope the response will be good. I even had to set up a booth duty schedule for the days for duty. I'm doing three days and will try to drop by the booth whenever free. I even thought of getting a laptop and play the trailers from the official website at the booth for publicity so as to attract people to visit the booth.
