I was dead beat, shagged and my whole body ache yesterday and today after the SIMonopoly game. It is organised by Student Council. A lot of us were supposed to help out for the event. But two teams backed out so only one team from non-council was still playing so we had to form another 5 teams from our council to form our target of 6 teams. I was in the same team with Kelvin and Jonathan. The game commenced at 9.45am. My team was the 3rd team to set off. We were given $15,000 Net Worth and we are supposed to buy as many properties as possible and we are also allowed to do trading and selling of properties with other teams. The highest value of the total value of assets bought plus the total cash on hand will be the winner.

The game is played exactly like how the Monopoly game is being played. The starting point which is the 'Go' point to collect $2,000 is at Boat Quay's UOB Plaza so it stretches from Raffles Place Boat Quay to Tanjong Pagar's Shenton Way area to Clarke Quay's Merchant Road area and to Outram Park's Eu Tong Sen Street area. Those that I mentioned are the MRT stations beside the places. So there are 8 locations in all that had station masters there who act as bankers there. The alternate stations will have incentives that we can earn $1,000 by doing whatever task they give us. This is my first time participating in such a game. I'm always the games master. We started off running quite a lot but my stamina was quite bad. I got breathless in a while. I had to drag kelvin and Jonathan down cause they can really run. They had to wait for me at times. But after 2nd round, we started to walk all the way or take public transport like MRT or bus to one or two stops. Most were NEL from Chinatown to Raffles or Tanjong Pagar.

We were demoralised cause most of the properties were already bought and one of the tradings was pulled out while the other team (yellow) was desperate to do another trading with us but due to the other team (light blue) pulled off from selling us their property, we had to hold back that agreement. But in the end, at 3rd last location, the dark blue team managed to get for us the property we wanted, South Bridge Rd as they are broke and they needed to get money to buy houses thus we are able to do another trading with that team (yellow). We sold our Raffles Place MRT Station in exchange for their Pearl's Hill St where we own the whole colour and could build house at last. But it was almost 3pm and the game stops at 3.45pm. But we still managed to uild two houses and last minute we managed to collect rent for south bridge rd too. We went to all the locations but the most frequent was at Chinatown (4 times) and Lau Pa Sat (3 times).

We had thought that we would not get into top 3 at all. We had thought the dark blue team and light blue team will be close fight and 3rd place will be orange team. But in the end, we came in 3rd. AT first they told us we were 2nd place, in the end, they announced us as 3rd prob due to miscalculation of total value. Light blue team won and at first thought was the 3rd place became the 2nd place (yellow). I din expect there were medals given. I had thought were just cash prizes. 1st-$200, 2nd-$150, 3rd-$100 divided among three persons per prize per team won. So we each got $33. At least my effort was worth the price, and I had never won a medal in my whole life not even in Sports day. In fact, I am the only one that has got a medal in my family so my parents were proud of me...Heh heh. In fact, the 1st and 2nd team had a number of medals from SIM itself before so this was nothing to them. We had food and refreshments at the 'Go' point, so everytime we pass by that stop, we will stop for a cool drink and have quick bite. There were curry puffs, sandwich, bee hoon and fishballs. Overall, it was fun but really super tired. My legs were cramping. Now my whole body and my legs ache like hell. I had to work from home today. Cause I had difficulty walking too...Will upload pics once are up.

Went to Grace's 21st birthday on Sat too. Her party was held at Seletar Country Club. The place was super isolated and deserted. Near the airbase and Seletar Camp but deeper inside. The ballroom was nice, the food was not bad too. This was my previous clique who are in Sem 3 now. After leaving that clique for some time now cause in different sems now and I can never join them again for lecture, I realised that I did not have much topic with them now compared to my current new clique. Like we're sort of drifting away sooner or later. They have new names in their topics and talk abt their current modules which I will take next sem. Quite sad but this is the fact. If it is not for someone's 21st bday, I guess it'd be hard for me to actually hang out with them. And it's like perhaps this kind of situation will soon be gone next sem or next year. So I treasure every time I spent with them. Will upload the pics at Grace's bday once I get from them...
