If you wanna have seafood, can consider going to Long Beach UDMC at East Coast Park. Not only you enjoy a cheaper pricing compared to the other Long Beach resturants because of the non-air conditioned environment but you get to enjoy an al fresco dining by the sea. The Black Pepper Crab is one of their signature dishes there.

It's been donkey years since I stepped into a seafood restaurant at East Coast. Ever since the best Black Pepper Crabs at Golden Lagoon have been closed down, we seldom had seafood there. I went to Long Beach on Sunday to celebrate my brother's birthday. He is using the money (GSS Shares) the govt gave to him to treat my family dinner. He even invited my grandparents there too. We ordered a range of ala-carte menu food including shark's fins, baby squid, oatmeal prawns, black pepper crabs, etc. They even give you their VIP Discount card which can entitle you to a 10% discount.


Fried Baby Squid...This is always the must try dish whenever you eat seafood. You can just eat it with white rice. Feel the crispiness in the squid. Even my grandfather who was forbidden to eat the seafood like prawns, crab and squids, had to eat one piece. And he just couldn't stop eating.


Then the Shark's Fins Soup with Crabmeat came. We paid for the medium size which costs us $40. Quality Shark's Fins. The ingredients were really a lot. Worth the money...




Oat Prawns...The prawns wasn't very fresh cause the head has fallen off. There was a lot of oat covering the prawns. The oat tasted good fried and with butter. If the prawns were fresh enough, the dish would have been good.


Vegetables...Of course, every meal should have at least one vegetable. This is vegetable with garlic...


Steamed Beancurd with Minced Meat & Egg


This is the signature dish, Black Pepper Crab...Crab is from Sri Lanka. Look at how huge this crab is. The pincers are so huge and gigantic. They gave us one big crab instead of having to order two small crabs cause not many of us eat. The black pepper crab is really renowned in that area. Many may go to Jumbo Seafood there as they thought there is a long queue outside will be good. They're air-conditioned too but their signature dish is not Black Pepper but Chilli Crab. So if you want to eat Chilli Crab, then go to Jumbo. They give you 10% discount for Citibank Card members.

After the meal, you can take a stroll outside the restaurants and enjoy the cool breeze.
