I just went clubbing last Friday at Velvet Dragon which was previously known as Club Momo. It was the official opening of Velvet Dragon and from 9pm - 10.30pm, only guests with invitation cards are allowed entry with free flow of drinks till 10.30pm. Rachel got four invites of which one invite can bring in two guests. Jo, Kai, Yiwei, Mingxu, me and one of Jo's friend, Wenbin (not sure his name) went to this club. We ordered drinks. I got a Vodka Lime and Vodka Sprite for myself. Rachel so happened to be the owner, John's neighbour. They are just about 15 steps away from a three-storey terrace house in East Coast. And Rachel helped him found his two dogs. So he gave her the invites after knowing she's a NTU student. John is a nice guy. He approached us and chatted with us asking for opinions of his new revamped club now. And he even treated us drinks on the house ever after 10.30pm. In the end, we had to finish 2 jugs of beer and 2 jugs of Vodka Ribena. The guys decided to leave ard 11.30pm to go play pool. So they left just us three girls to finish the two jugs of Vodka Ribena. And I must say my drinking has improved. I used to drink two cups of Vodka Lime and can easily get a little tipsy and my face and eyes will become rather red, but now I drank quite a lot continously that night and did not get tipsy at all.

We even went to the ladies several times in a night. We had to stay by our table cause our drinks were unfinished before heading down to the dance floor. We took several photos together too. I will upload it soon once I get the photos from Rach. We even had encounter with guys who were hitting on Rachel then on Kailin. Rachel and I had to try to get her out from them after we realised they are becoming a little over friendly. When we started to head to the dance floor. The music started to change to techno and dance music which we hated it and danced only a while. We sat in the ladies for about half an hour. We were super tired and the ladies is just so comfortable. We then left the place to look for the guys at Jalan Sultan then we went for supper at Bencoolen Street. I reached home at 5am and is still feeling lethargic from the lack of sleep.

Reviews:
The new Velvet Dragon has a whole new wallpapers mainly made of red velvets and more velvet sofa seats available. The lightings and lamps there have changed to a more gothic kind of feel. Even the ladies toilet is revamped. There is a velvet sofa chair on top of the usual three chairs oin the toilet. There is a nice black gothic chandelier in the toilet too. The toilet seats have changed to a gold shiny kind of seating.

The dance area have changed the area of the dance floor. It has become smaller and there is no chill out where there used to be live band performances in the doorway area to the coothing chill out area. There are two platforms in centre where two sexy skimpy dressed ladies with fake dragon tattoo are lying on the platform. Near to the entrance where there are more tables and sofa seats available, there are two poles up on a stage where the pole dancing is performed there. That is my first time watching pole-dancing. There are topless hunks and sexy babes with fake dragon tattoos on their upper arms (hunks) and backs (babes) serving everyone with snacks like chocolates, chocolate cakes, coffee chocolate, etc. The waiter and waitresses are just dressed in their white/pink t-shirts with the new logo on it. Perhaps this is the official opening night, so there are such free snacks giving out to patrons. John is also trying to promote his club to tertiary people. Music: 6/10 (We had to tell John that many prefers R&B or Pop music, and the music played there esp the bass is extremely loud and deafening)
