My sis and I woke up at 7am on Saturday morning. We slept around 2+am previously so only abt 5 hrs of sleep. The make-up artist for my sister was early. He came before 7.30am and my sis wasn't really ready yet. So she started her make-up and my parents were preparing the lunch later. The artist finished the make-up at around 8.15am and the photographer, Wan Sheng was busy taking photos of her. His works are really good according to the photos I've seen he took of my sister were very good and professional but he cost a very high price for his service. Then all my relatives started coming one by one and my family managed to took a nice family photo. Then my mum started to veil my sister. And my sister started crying. And my eyes felt tears that are going to roll down. These were tears of joy and happiness. She started hugging my parents, my grandmother thanking them for bringing her up all these years and my mum and grandmother also cried. My cousin caught photos of my sister crying too. My sister gave my parents each an expensive gift - 2 wallets. A Coach wallet for my Mum and a Mont Blanc wallet for my Dad.

All the bridesmaid took a photo with her..we were not dressed in our bridesmaid dress...


Then at 9am, we heard the groom is arriving so my cousin who is the youngest boy in my family (he's 14 yrs old) had to open the door of the bridal car where the groom is in with a plate of a pair of oranges. Wan Sheng went downstairs together to take photos. At around 9.20am, then we heard them knock on our door. We have already prepared the questions and forfeit to ask. I had all these captured on videos. The first stage he have to pass was we had asked every female who were present even kids to apply lipstick then kiss on a piece of paper and let him guess which lipstick mark belongs to my sister. Of course, he'll get any of it wrong anyway since none of them is hers. That is why the questions will come in. We had questions like what is my mum's birth date and forfeit was to drink a bottle of really bitter herbal tea which he dislike drinking before, what my sister like about him and forfeit was to film a 30s video telling my sis how much he love her and must be approved by my sister, what are the three bridesmaids' full names and forfeit was to do a Michael Jackson cum Saturday Night Fever dance for us. We had some other questions too but due to time constraints, we jumped to make him do all the rest of the forfeits. One was to give us money to let him in. He gave us $8 then my grandmother said it's too little to marry her granddaughter so he gave us a second red packet which consists $28 and my grandmother let him in. Actually he had prepared another two more red packets if we still disagree to the amount. My grandmother was too easy.


Pondering over the forfeit of what to say to my sis in a 30s video recording of how much he love her...


Then the next forfeit was to make him kiss my mum on the cheek and then say some nice things to her and then the last forfeit was the last difficulty for him to overcome. My sister knows that was his weakest point too, it was to ask him sing a love song to my sis outside her room door. We chose Only You which was an easy song. I knew that he may chicken out or find excuses saying he dunno the lyrics so I have prepared the lyrics for him beforehand. Hand-written personally by myself. (Taken from the web of cuz!)


Then he unveil the bride and we requested a longer kiss for the photoshoot...

After the tea ceremony, my sister changed into her tea dress and we headed back to my house for lunch and a "tea ceremony". That is where I got my red packet from them. I called Chris "Korkor" once again. After everyone left back home to get dressed and prepare for the ceremony later, I went to shower and then started my make-over with the part-time make-up artist by my auntie's friend.

We reached Fort Canning around 3.45pm and some guests were already there. The decor were already up. I was surprised at the space they used. My sister is really a perfectionist when it comes to her wedding and house. I was rather surprised at the garden wedding. This must be the first and the only garden wedding I ever attended and the decor there was remarkable. She did it everything as what she wanted. Props and materials were all provided. She's always wanted a wedding full of her fave flowers and there were a lot of flowers displayed there.




This is the photo tree...they wanted to display their wedding photos there as a display for guests...This was hung beside the reception table using white-dyed bamboos meant for hanging clothes and hung by pink-dyed strings...






















They added this bird cage to the photo tree too. Nice rite? Really creative...

All specially designed by my sister and Chris themselves...If you ever needed a wedding planner can consider my sister's service. She's considering to switch jobs...

The ceremony started slightly later than 4.30pm. The bridal car was to drive up near to the ceremony area.

The two flowergirls, Rae-Ann and Amelia (my cousin from Melbourne). Rae-ann was to throw flower petals from the basket to the aisle and was to walk in front. She was very clingy to her mother so her mother had to walk with her together. Amelia was the ring-bearer. My sister wanted the ring cushion to be in the box she bought. (We call the box the Lord of the Rings). The ring cushion was hand-sewn by my Mum from the remaining cloth that was left from making our dresses. The flowergirls' dresses were all made by my mum herself. Impressive skills eh? Better than the seamstress who made our dresses....

I'm the first bridesmaid to walk through the aisle. Although I am smiling, I am nervous too. Worrying if the speed I'm walking is alright and whether I'm smiling properly...

Listening to the sermon the pastor is preaching about. The pastor said something very meaningful: "You may not like the person you marry but you will like the person you choose to marry."

After the ceremony was the group photo-taking sessions. At around 6pm, the VIPs went into the tentage area where the dinner will be at. The VIPs were supposed to take the buffet food first but no one cue them so they just sat there and waited.

The reception area at exit area....the wishing jar and flowers and many fans are there too. The place where guests leave and collect the cakes to be distributed to guests...

Then the bride and groom came changed in their evening wear. We had the entertainment of hearing Mathilda D'Souza and her band of 2006's Singapore Idol to come sing for us. Her voice was amazing. I even got to shake hands and talk to her while she was leaving. She was so amazed by the cake. She even took a pot of flowers back.





Chris gave a speech...He was super nervous. He hated talking in public much that's why he is known to be a quiet person



My sister gave Chris a surprise by singing a song for him, You Make Me Feel Brand New. She was so nervous. I got my cousin to film a short video on her singing. Will post it here once I get it from her...

I did not even ate much cause I was busy running here and there. My dad and I had not much appetite so I did not even see what other foods they had.

I managed to talk to Rae-ann. She was super high liao, I saw her sitting alone on stage so I sat beside her and talked to her and she answered me back.



I asked if I can take a photo with her so I shall keep this rare photo as my precious...She takes some time to warm up to people. Good thing I often handle young kids in Sunday School



I tried to take just a photo of her after the ceremony alone and she refused. She was rather moody and temperamental that time...






My mum and I were so tired after a long day and lack of proper sleep previously.



Gotta take my hairstyle for once cause I never went for full make-over like this. Never looked that pretty in my life yet. Must keep as remembrance...


FYI, I took about 2 days to complete this long entry...Phew, finally it's finished...
