I had wanted to blog about my day out for movie and catching up with Mingli yesterday and blog about the movie, The Kingdom but when I reached home, I received a bad news from my mum. She said that my paternal grandmother from KL is currently hospitalised due to a sudden pain in her heart yesterday. The doctor said that she must undergo a heart bypass operation. It is not heart disease or anything. My dad did not reveal much cause he was in Cambodia when he received the news. Good thing he is returning to Singapore today. We went to the airport to pick my brother-in-law and my dad up as my brother-in-law had went there earlier for a mission trip. My dad went over to join him for holiday.

If my grandmother were not to undergo the operation, she will have difficulty eating. Whatever she eats will be throwing it up and her life may suddenly be gone anytime. My auntie and uncle in KL have decided to let her take the operation though it is also 50-50% chance of succes rate and even after the operation she may not fully recover but at least it would prolong her life. At this need of time, we are sincerly praying hard for her though she was never a believer for our God. My grandfather from KL had died when I was also very young so she was one of the reasons my dad made it a point to go back to KL at least once a year during CNY. My dad and mum had to rushed down to KL this afternoon after he went home from the airport. My sister and brother-in-law went along too. My brother and I stayed at home cause we were going to Perth this coming Thursday late night so my parents do not know when they will come back. I just need to hear some news that the operation is a success and she is resting well. Otherwise, I may not be even able to enjoy my holiday much...She is very old and this is life where we will have to see people grow old and pass on. But I believe now that I am sensible enough, I will definitely feel sad when a loved one leaves us. I just hope that I would have the time to be there when she pass on. I rem seeing my dad knelt down and cry in front of the wash basin in the past cause my grandmother was scolding him for not rushing back in time to visit my late grandfather at his deathbed. He just left so suddenly. My sister and I was very young that time so we did not really know what was going on until recently I understood what had happened that time after my mum told us. Besides, our Cantonese was never good enough to understood what they were talking about that time....
