I am back from Perth and I really enjoyed myself for the shopping and the guided tours. But the food was disappointing. I would comment about Perth is they do not have much life there. The shops there only open till 8pm on Fridays and weekdays and other days is 5.30pm. Restaurants there in the non-city area open no later than 9pm where only those expensive bar and restaurants and cafes from hotels are opened till late except for ordering for food is till 9pm. I also noticed there are a number of drunkards here and they all normally don't bother about image and we usually will stay away from such people when we see one. I saw this old man for two consecutive nights at two different places getting drunk and begging people for money. They were blabbering nonsense and scolding vulgarities. First time I encountered such people in my life, I guessed I haven't been able to seen the world that's why I am so shallow.

Day 1:

We intended to check in our baggages then go have supper at Burger King. Then we went in at around 11.50pm and walked around the area inside.

We finally boarded the plane at around 12.50am. I took a shot of the plane outside my window before the plane started moving. We also took a picture of the three of us together.

We watched No Reservations and after the movie ended, I had wanted to sleep, just when I was going to take a nap, the lights were on and it is breakfast time. The breakfast wasn't good and we managed to caught the sun rising out at around 5+am in the air.


















After the plane touched down at Perth International Airport, we managed to take photos of our plane earlier,





We managed to take a shuttle from the airport to our apartment on Alderney on Hay which is on Hay Street. We paid about AUD10 each for the shuttle and it was a 30 mins drive from the airport back to our apartment. We were not even able to check in to our apartment as the previous tenant just checked out and they needed time to clean up the apartment. So we left our baggages there and went to Harbourtown shopping and have lunch there. We managed to take a free shuttle called CAT bus to almost the major shopping malls. It was rather convenient but the bus stops its services at 6pm usually so we will have difficulty at night after 6pm to go back. The food at Harbourtown was limited so we settled for Subway for late breakfast as our snacks. I managed to get 4 Bond's underwear from the factory outlet store there. It was very cheap and I regretted not getting it more when I returned back there again on Monday. I bought a few pairs of earrings too from Cotton On factory outlet store there for my female colleagues. After shopping there, we bought back lunch from a Chinese cafe there which was rather expensive. It costs AUD10.50-AUD12 for a plate of Hor Fun or Beef Kway Teow.



We managed to get two rooms almost side by side of one another. Each apartment had two rooms in it which consists of a sofabed, a queen-sized bed or king-sized bed in one and and two single beds in the other room. Kristin and I shared the queen-sized bed and my two aunties took the other twin sharing room. My brother slept on the sofa bed in the other apartment with my grandparents and auntie and my other cousin.

With oven, microwave, fridge, cutlery, utensils like frying pan, saucepan, bowls all and even have a laundry room with washing machine, ironing board, etc. Full utilities...



Huge comfy sofa with DVD player and TV but the TV plays crappy shows which people would rather rent DVD movies downstairs but we kept our time busy by playing Taboo...

I decided to rest in the room while the others went out to get some food supplies for the picnic lunch on Sunday. I took a nap for about half an hour all alone in the apartment myself. Coffee doesn't work for me for the long night since Thursday. When I am working, I tend to tire easily and I went to work on Thursday too. So I haven't slept in a day makes me really grouchy and all. We left our apartment at 5pm and headed to Fremantle market via Perth Tram. They call it TransPerth here. Fremantle is the end of the line and we paid AUD3.40 for the ride.

I've seen these birds everywhere. The signs of these birds were on every streets too which looked like ducks in the sign. In Australia, any vehicles will have to stop and give way to such birds when they are crossing the roads.

Finally we found where the Fremantle Market is and in the end, there was nothing fantastic there as expected. But I managed to buy a Snoopy magnet for Mingli...



We have tried to find where the Number 1 Fish & Chips is in Fremantle but we realised it was rather far away from where we are and we were all very tired especially my grandparents. We have tried hailing cab but there was no cabs in sight. Very hard to get a cab in Perth. We then managed to hitch a free ride to the tram station from a friendly public bus driver.
