I went to Marina Barrage yesterday with my family. One reason was my dad wanted to take photos of the place there though he just went there on Saturday and the other reason was my company had lost that project to our competitor, Kingsman so I oughtta go and look at the exhibits there. I remember that tender was the worst tender submission I had to do. My dept had about 11 people stayed till late to finish that tender submission which includes myself. I reached home at around 11+ and reached office the next day at 8.30am.



I brought a camera along so I really went to look at the exhibits as if I was working. It'd be a learning experience for me to look at other galleries too. The place there was really hard to find the way around. It have a great view especially when it faces the Singapore Flyer and there was cool breeze from the sea. Pictures tells more than a thousand words, I'll try to explain the exhibits from the pictures as I go along...

The 1st part of the gallery was to introduce the NEWater. All these are made up of NEWater bottles....



The explanation of this exhibit, NEWater...









This part of the exhibits was in the middle area of the 1st section, this area attracted lots of people to pose and take photo.






This exhibit tells of recycling. This display was made up of old newspapers...






I liked the decor here. There was mirrors at the ceiling and all these LED lighting display of the dome steals the limelight of the display at the opposite side.










I dun really know the main reason for this design, but I quite like it...















This lightbox display telling of the history of Singapore doesn't seemed to be attracting people. They could have did something more interactive like having buttons on it to make people actually stop to fiddle with it better than leaving it as it is to show the years.

This interactive has a huge screen and there are 3 touch-screen monitors where you can design and create your own park. But I think it's a little lame to have three monitors to a screen, won't it like crash with the other 2 people trying to play with the interactive?

This is a switch where we place our palm on it, the lightbox will light up, but it dun work at all. It was switched on automatically.

This is real reservoir water, when you go to this area, you can really smell the fresh reservoir water. This section is to show people how the reservoir water is being treated and become our drinking water from tap...
