CNY Eve - 17-Feb-07:
My Chinese New Year's Eve Reunion Dinner was like as usual, going over to my grandparents' house in CCK for a table of home-cooked food. My mum was in charge of cooking the nuggets and fried tau kee (with no fish meat in it). I still preferred the usual tau kee with my mum's "hand-beaten" fish meat. Anyway, we had curry and my fave preserved vegetable duck soup, bamboo shoot with meatball soup, two diff vegetables dishes, nuggets, ngor hiang, fried tau kee, etc. The only dish we left out this year was fried prawns....Ooh I missed that every year. After dinner, I went with my cousins downstairs to the playground to set "fireworks". Of course not, when I meant fireworks, it meant fire sparklers. Now it isn't just a fire sparkler alone, it has lots of new ideas coming out, like whistling sparkler and it even has green or blue fire sparkler when u just lit up.

CNY Day 1 - 18-Feb-07:
On the 1st day of CNY, I woke up before 10am and woke up to wished my parents a Happy New Year. Then I got ready to dress up for visiting at my grandparents' house. My dad decided to use film tis time. He hasn't been taking films for a long time and the films sold now are all for portrait shots. We took our family photo before we set off to my grandparents' house. We suddenly recall last year Swizzle was still around and healthy too. A good thing, we took our last CNY shot with her when she was still around. 2006 was her last New Year with us. I took some self-shots of myself.




I got my dad helped me take. He uses professional camera but when it comes to cheap and normal cameras, a professional photographer cannot handle...





I love taking pics of my own full body reflection in the mirror.

I did not use digital cam to take my family pic. It's all in film. We were the second family to reach my grandparents' house. Uncle Johnny's family were already there. I took photo with my youngest cousin, Perpetua.


She is so young but yet has such matured and good fashion sense. She'll grow up to be a very fashionable lady. All her clothes she choose are of matured taste like what we normally wear. She likes wearing jeans and a spaghetti top or nice flowery top like this.




At about 3+, my dad decided to go out to town for phototaking with me as his model. So I tagged along together with my brother (becoming like his assistant, carrying his camera bag). We went to Boat Quay area cause the West side was raining cats and dogs. Boat Quay was rather packed with tourists and probably cause of the River Hongbao in Esplanade Park thus attracted a lot of tourists from China and Caucasians. Then we walked over to One Fullerton and took some photos at the fountains outside Fullerton Hotel along the way.

The top of the hotel is actually an expensive restaurant with nice ambience and good view.


Then we crossed over to One Fullerton and wanted to take shots of The Merlion. But there were so many tourists crowding around the Merlion area that we changed our plans. Soon the sky turned dark and we started to head back to Boat Quay McDonald's for a drink.

Then my dad picked my mum up from my grandparents' house and dropped my brother and me off there and headed to the dinner venue to meet up with my sister and her fiance and his parents. They are having a meet-the-parents session and I am not supposed to go. So I had dinner at my grandparents' house then took my auntie's car back home and I was all alone at home at night till 8.35pm my cousin and his wife came over to visit us. My parents weren't back yet so they waited for them.

I shall continue the Part 2 and how I spent the rest of my New Year tomorrow...
