Day 1:
I went to grandparents’ house at 1pm on 1st day of CNY after my sis and bro-in-law came over to our house for CNY visiting. I finally opened my bottle of Ice Wine from 3 years ago. Two of my uncle’s family were already there and we took family photos one round after another since my dad brought along his professional camera.

We started our rounds of Blackjack games. I joined the smaller games bets of 50cents to a dollar but my bets were always 50cents without fail. I’m unsure how much have I won but I believe I did won some when I finally stopped the game.

I went to another place for gathering and visiting and only went home at around 11pm.

Day 2:
I woke up at 4.40am and starting getting ready to depart for KL trip. It’s been so long since we started setting off so early. I only slept at 1am previous night and not I gotta wake up before 5am. Anyway, I’m able to sleep in the car during the journey so its fine for me. We ordered McDonald’s breakfast and ate in the car. My sister and bro-in-law joined us for this trip this time round. We reached KL around 10am and stayed a while at my grandma’s house in Kuchai Lama before heading for lunch nearby and went to 1-Utama for shopping. Then we went for dinner at this authentic Thai Restaurant. I have already prepared myself and had some toast bread before dinner cause knowing Thai food will be spicy. In the end, I ate quite a few dishes. After dinner, we proceeded to my auntie’s house for gathering. Imagine how a Singapore expat home looks like and that’s how my aunt’s house looks like in KL area.

We headed back to another’s auntie’s house in 1-Utama area where I’m staying in with my family at their 3-storey mansionette. Their pet schnauzer, Cosmo is so cute. I ended up sleeping on the floor together with my parents in the guest room while my sis and bro-in-law took the work studio room and slept on the floor too.

Day 3:
We had fried tom yum bee hoon for breakfast and at 12noon, we headed out to the restaurant that we have booked for lunch to celebrate my granny’s birthday. It was a usual place that we always go to for her birthday and this time we had a private function room with two tables all ours. There’s movie programme on Astro to entertain us too. The lou hei was good, the best so far eaten…The food there are really not bad this time. After lunch, it was already 2.30pm and we decided to head down to Mid Valley since we have some time before 5pm. We had wanted to leave for SG after lunch but my auntie persuaded us to go back together same time as her family so as to have company when we stop for toilet breaks along the highway. So we waited for her to finish her visiting of her relative then it started to rain heavily at 5+ which makes us delayed and stuck at Kuchai Lama for half an hour. After the rain slightly subsided, we headed out for SG and along the way there was jam. We left at 6.20pm and finally reached home around 11pm. Good thing, the custom at Tuas did not have jam as all counters were mostly opened that night. So it was jam along the way from Melaka to Yong Peng.



Aunty Elaine’s pet dog, Cosmo from KL. She’s a schnauzer…So cute and well behaved but she urines like a male dog after sterilised. She looks for lampposts and seats where male dogs will usually piss at…
